You might want to ride a horse without a saddle but unless you are an experienced, specialized rider, this is probably not a good idea. This double bridle will control the height of the horse’s head with one set of reins while giving you the traditional stop, stop motions in the other set.

There are a lot of different types of bridles of those riders who prefer Western style riding. The Western bridle is very similar to the standard English style bridle. The difference, however, is that it does not have a noseband.

Both the bosal and mechanical hackamore bridles are very common Western bridles. They have no browbands and do not have bits. Instead of controlling the horse through a bit, the riders that ride Western style will use different bridle controls to manipulate the horse through the noseband, which applies pressure and teaches the horse which way to go. A bosal model bridle is used to train a horse to use a hackamore bridle. The mechanical hackamore is what the horse will need for future riding.

You can check a local feed and tack shop to find the right bridle for your horse. You should shop where you can get a big selection at a low price, which is why so many people have turned to getting the right bridle for their horses online. If you are trying to save a few dollars, you can also look into buying a used bridle. There are always people trying to sell tack through the classifieds sections or through online auctions. You should also be sure that the bridle is in excellent condition before you put it on your horse, however, since you don’t want one that has mold or loose stitching. You can always clean up a bridle, but loose stitching on a bridle is too dangerous to fix.
